DIRECTOR'S PROFILE

This organization is set up in 1992 by Bharat J. Mehta, Chemical Engineer from University Institute of Chemical Technology, (formerly UDCT), University of Mumbai, followed by M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, with an outstanding record althroughout.

Prior to consultancy, Mr. Mehta had rich experience for over two decades in renowned organizations and diverse industries, such as Chemicals, Electricals, Engineering, Electronics, Textiles and others, as Chief of Operations or Project.  By virtue, of his experience, he has specialized in the field of Strategic Planning, Diversifications, Corporate Restructuring, Organization Development, MIS and IT systems, ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management Systems (QMS), Contracts Negotiations for Industrial Markets and Projects, Foreign Collaborations, Industrial Marketing Strategy and other management areas, which have been focus of our consultancy services.

Mr. Mehta worked as Chief Executive and Advisor (Projects) with The Arvind Mills Ltd. (Lalbhai Group) at Ahmedabad, during 1985-91.

Mr. Mehta taught Industrial Marketing at M.B.A. Programme of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, as a Visiting Professor during 1985-1994.

Mr. Mehta has been Certified Management Consultant (CMC), awarded by The Institute of Management Consultants of India (IMCI), founder member of ICMCI, globally recognised among forty countries in the world. As active member of IMCI, he served IMCI as Chairman, Ahmedabad Chapter, Regional Representative - West (National) and Honorary Treasurer (National) in the past.

• Strategic Planning Information System for a large industrial house; Overall Management Information System for a multi-location company, belonging to a large industrial group. Corporate MIS for Top Management for another diversified multi-location group.

• Comparative evaluation of captive power plants (including co-gen) based on fossil fuels, wind and solar energy. Implementation of gas-based captive power plant.

• Water Systems Consultancy comprising of raw water treatment, effluent treatment, water recycling and zero-discharge systems for total water management.

Responsible for diversification proposals, technology tie-ups, feasibility studies and related activities, primarily for non-textile projects:

• Had successfully tied up foreign collaboration for technology with JVC, Japan, world leaders in Video Technology.

• Extensively travelled Far East, U.S.A., and Europe for contract finalisations for technology, collaborations and plants.

1970-1985 Employed as Project Officer, Executive Manager (Finance and Commercial), and General Manager with three public limited companies respectively.

Contributed immensely for their growth and development.  Specific achievements:

• Captured total market for select product-market segments in a highly competitive industry.

• Responsible for turn-around of an engineering industry caught in 1973 middle-east oil crisis and firmly established the marketing base for further growth, in competition with multinationals in a capital goods industry.

• Worked on a green-field project for abrasive grains, starting from scratch, covering licensing, MRTP clearances, location and mineral-resource surveys, and feasibility study for a multinational, world’s largest in abrasives industry.
